ILL Fortune is an independent Hip Hop Artist/ Producer from Minnesota.
He has a history of being an avid underground Hip Hop head, advocating keeping music authentic, raw, and gritty. Striving to be unique, ILL Fortune has developed his own sound that catches listeners' attention with a filterless vocabulary- giving them a "what will he say next" type of mindset. His beat production has grown in quality and originality over the years, spawning from 'underground' and 'horror' roots alike. By staying loyal to the scene that created him, ILL Fortune has become a minor authority figure in the horrorcore genre, maintaining working relationships with amatuer and proffesional artists. ​

ILL Fortune began making music in 2009 at the age of 14. Nowadays, he is 100% self-produced in every facet, from making beats, writing, recording, and mixing his music, to creating his cover art and graphics. These skills combined have allowed him the advantage of releasing music more consistent than other artists while having full creative control over every aspect. As of 2024, ILL Fortune has fully immersed himself in the filmmaking community, taking on roles like screenwriter, director, camera operator and full time editor. ILL Fortune released his first short film in 2025 titled "Beyond The Pasture." From there, ILL Fortune went on to produce over a dozen music videos the same year for acts like Lee Carver (Meathead), Siamese Goat God, and The Mutanoid Underground Dwellers.

Amongst ILL Fortune's biggest achievements lies his performance at the annual Gathering of the Juggalos in 2022, as well as performing at Team Backpack Mission Underground L.A. in 2014. He also placed a record on the Winter X-Games in 2018, which aired on national television.  Amongst his biggest placements, he has records with artists like Alla Xul Elu, Super Famous Fun TIme Guys, G-Mo Skee, Bizarre, Lex The Hex Master,  Pacewon, E3, Enokh Xmortiz, and many more!

ILL Fortune's has also found great success is in his beat production, operating an online store on his website selling Hip Hop beats to other artists around the world. He has released several albums, available for streaming on all major platforms. Though he is notorious for releasing horror inspired music, such as his albums "Cellar of Corpses," "Fables of the Unstable," and "The Toxic Offender," he does not limit himself to just horrorcore, with albums like "8 Track" and "ILL OL' ME." ILL Fortune's last solo album "Midnight Matinee at the Macabre" was a story driven horror anthology album with vintage and retro vibes. Underground pride lies at the forefront of everything he pursues, and it shows in every record he releases.

ILL Fortune's current endeavors revolve around building the MUD universe. MUD, short for Mutanoid Underground Dwellers, is a collaborative duo consisting of ILL Fortune and Enokh Xmortiz. The rap group's main goal is to create an immersive story driven experience for fans, while paying homage to the things that raised them. The entire project takes on tone's of 90s cartoons mashed with retro horror to convey a nostalgic sensation while lending itself to lyrical, satirical Hip-Hop. Fans have said the group is like "Troma" meets "The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" The first MUD album is streaming on all platforms, with hard copies available.
